Planning your wedding reception can be a very stressful event to organize. The reception or wedding party as it known in some circles can be of any time and style. People who have attended the ceremony itself and also those who could not attend will we welcomed at the wedding reception so that they can toast the Bride and Groom on their happy day and enjoy the festivities.
Caterers are often employed and instructed by the wedding planner or even the Bride and or Groom themselves to take care of the sit down meal of buffet that is given to all of the guests. At some wedding receptions an open bar is offered to the guests but at others only the first drink is on the house. A DJ or band also has to be booked as entertainment for later on in the evening so that dancing can take place.
If there is to be a sit down meal then certain members of the wedding party need to arrange a toast to the Bride and Groom this involves them making a speech. Normally after the food has been eaten then the Bride and Groom lead onto the dance floor so that they can have their first dance together as man and wife. After this the rest of the guests can join in and have a good time.
After a short or even lengthy time after the dance, the newly wed couple then cut the wedding cake and share more speeches. Later on at the end of the night all of the single women who have attended the reception gather together and wait for the Bride to throw her bouquet.
When choosing the right place for your reception to take place you need to keep your budget in mind as hiring the venue is only a small price compared to the overall price of putting together the whole celebration and party. When you find the right place make sure that you book it at the earliest possibility as places can get booked up very easily and you don’t want to miss out!!
